TYPO3 integration with ontram
ontram's TYPO3 linkage shows the perfect connection between the worlds of CMS and TMS (Translation Management System). Again the objectives were clear in the realisation of this link: streamlined and automated processes as far as possible, simplicity of operation and availability of an interactive preview.
In order to achieve these objectives, Andrä AG has in co-operation with experienced TYPO3-Extension designers both on the part of TYPO3 and ontram implemented respective functional extensions.
To date the result is unique for its kind:
- fully automated data exchange between TYPO3 and ontram
- interactive and navigable preview of translated contents in the TYPO3 environment (in a specific area)
- "Back-link" to return from the preview to the matching point in ontram
- automatic transfer of approved translations in the target Workspace in TYPO3

Advantages of the use of ontram

Workflow for the project manager with TYPO3 link
- 1) Select TYPO3 register to be translated
- 2) Start translation job by clicking on L10N manager
- 3) Text to be translated is displayed in ontram
Workflow for the translator and any other process participant
- 1) Processing text and calling up preview as required (TYPO3 symbol)
- 2) navigable preview
- 3) Further processing of the page by clicking on „Back-link“
