What is ontram?

ontram is a web-based Translation Management System whose principal modules

are media-neutral and available to any persons involved in the translation and review processes via a very simply operated web interface.

ontram is specifically designed for use by multilingually operating companies - and covering both product as well as technical communication.

An efficient tool

ontram enables browser-based translation and editing of texts independent of the data format of the source documents. The translation memory, preview function, integrated change management and other productivity functions support the user, document the editing status and ensure a seamless co-operation of the project participants.

Media-neutral processing

Core application and user interface are standardised for all data formats.

The document that has to be translated is analysed by a specific data format import filter and the content is separated from the layout. Subsequently, media-neutral content processing is carried out according to the processing steps defined by the workflow.

After the translation of the document, the export filter ensures that the generated language versions are converted to the original format.

 

Translation mode: The users can see the source and target language in one window. The Translation memory provides translation suggestions.
